Modular Head Shop Cylinder Head Completion Packages

 Over the past 6 years we have done hundreds of 2V Head / Cam Combos. Behind the scenes, we have done about half as many custom 4V Head / Cam combos and I am tired of writing quotes for the same thing every other day. So now we have a series of 4V Completion Packages. These packages will include everything needed to make your Cylinder Head Assemblies true bolt on components. 

In addition to including all the necessary components for a true bolt on package, we also degree the camshafts on our Camshaft Degree Engine. While some will say that is not accurate, here is the honest truth...This method has worked for us for a very long time. We have degreed hundreds of sets of 2V cams off the same engine, with .040" or less PTV clearance, sent them throught the mail, had the customer install them, and had excellent results every single time. Not a single PTV issue when timed correctly on the primary. 

The Completion package is designed for one thing...to take the guesswork out. Some guys are very good at working on their own stuff, but just need a little help with the details. The other side is the older Mom and Pop machine shops that do excellent block and assembly work, but maybe lack the knowledge on the DOHC stuff. Our goal is to make it simple for everyone, and help you build one healthy, thirsty engine. 

Of course, there will be people doubting our degree process. The truth is, the main part of 4V camshaft degree is setting the lobe separation angle. No one can dispute that all 4V heads have camshaft bores machined to extremely tight tolerances, and any small varience would never make a mechanical difference in camshaft timing. Our tolerance for the LSA is 0.25 degrees. Once the LSA is set, the only thing left is how much advance or retard to add. The only thing that could change that is deck height, and while many think there is a huge window in variance, there is not. 

All OEM Ford Mod Blocks are within .004" of target deck height as long as I have been in business. That difference won't change a thing. Any Cylinder Head Deck discrepancies would be shown when the chambers are machined. When the difference between an 03/04 Cobra or GT500 chamber being 10% machined and being 90% machined is only a .010"  change in height on our machine, we know what we are talking about. Worse case you are 1/2 a degree retarded with camshaft timing. I know this process to be honest and true because if it wasn't, I wouldn't offer it. Many tuners have called up to our shop just to say how nice it is to tune a car with the same short term fuel trims, and that speaks volumes.

One other important thing to note is our camshaft selection. More often than not, these engines are over cammed to compensate less than adequate airflow and / or spark capabilities. Our camshafts are a bit smaller than most as far as duration goes. However, our descriptions are quite accurate and one of our camshaft profiles will fit your setup just as good as a "custom" camshaft. We are 100% up front with camshaft specs. The part number you order will match the part number engraved on your camshafts. If you feel your setup requires a "custom" camshaft set, please contact us. If your goal is less than 1500 WHP, you do not need anything larger or more custom than what we offer.
