This Short Block is the ultimate 5.0L Coyote Short Block and has proven to be reliable at 1600+ WHP, 40lbs + Boost and over 9500 RPM. We include the best available parts for this short block. All of our 1500R short blocks start with a 3.650" Bore, which leaves plenty of room for rebuilds. We use a race prepped Boss 302 crankshaft, which has been proven to reliably hold 2000 HP and 9000+ RPM shift points. For Connecting Rods, we use the Callies Ultra Billet I-Beams. These Rods are hands down the nicest available connecting rods. We have used these are very high HP applications with zero issues. The Pistons we use in this short block are custom made for us by Wiseco and have all the features needed to reliably make 1500+ WHP. The Ring Set includes AP Steel Top and Ductile Iron Napier Cut 2nd Ring from Total Seal.
 
We take serious pride in balancing and blue printing all engines. Connecting Rods are balanced on both big and small ends to a tolerance of 0.1g, bobweights for crank balancing are built to a tolerance of 0.1g and the crankshaft is balanced to a final tolerance of 0.2g. All Bearing and Piston to wall clearances are measured and recorded to a tolerance of 0.0001" and critical measurements such as crankshaft end play, connecting rod side clearance and connecting rod bolt stretch are all checked during final assembly.
 
While we have not had many issues with the 11mm GEN 2 style head bolt holes, they are not ideal for Competition Engines making the type of cylinder pressure needed for 1500+ HP. For this reason, we offer 2 different options. We can either machine the block for the 12mm long style head bolts or you can upgrade to the 5.2L Predator Block which has the 12mm head bolt holes already and additional bore reinforcements. 

All of our Short Blocks are custom and built to order. One size does not fit all and quality takes time.
