This Short Block is the perfect choice for mild to moderate power adder applications up to 1000 HP. Similar to the Aluminator, this short block comes with some of the same components, but with better machine work and better clearances for performance applications. We use the Mahle PowerPak Forged M142 Pistons because they have proven to be very strong and they are the absolute best design pistons for high HP daily driven vehicles. They mimick the OE design and use Mahle's special low expanding alloy which allows us to run as little as 0.001" Piston to wall cleanance. This keeps the skirts from rocking in the bottom of the bore at cold start and will make your engine last a lot longer than with pistons that require .0040" or more piston to wall clearance. We also use ARP Main Studs and Side Bolts in this short block. This is one place where the Aluminator falls short. Good fasteners and good clearances are key to keeping high HP engines alive. This short block is available with or without the factory piston oil squirters. 
 
We take serious pride in balancing and blue printing all engines. Connecting Rods are balanced on both big and small ends to a tolerance of 0.1g, bobweights for crank balancing are built to a tolerance of 0.1g and the crankshaft is balanced to a final tolerance of 0.2g. All Bearing and Piston to wall clearances are measured and recorded to a tolerance of 0.0001" and critical measurements such as crankshaft end play, connecting rod side clearance and connecting rod bolt stretch are all checked during final assembly.

All of our Short Blocks are custom and built to order. One size does not fit all and quality takes time.
