Modularheadshop is a high quality performance shop that specializes in Modular components for the Ford 4.6 and 5.4 engines exclusively.  We do not work on pushrod motors, nor do we work on GM, Chrysler, or any of the imports.  This allows us to focus better on your specific combination.  We have probably already built a dozen combinations similar to yours and know what works and what is not worth spending money on.  We are very unique in that we both modify the heads, and designed the largest number of camshafts available for these engines anywhere.  Rather than get a "custom grind" camshaft where someone is guessing at the outcome, or only having a limited few cam designs available, we designed over 60 2V cam specs alone and have already built combinations with many of them to know what the outcome will be.  There is very little guessing and finger crossing being done here with your money.

ALL cylinder head work is done exclusively by Nick McKinney.  This has a benefit of knowing that your heads are done by a professional with over 20 years of cylinder head experience.  With our focus on modular heads exclusively we know all of the various versions inside and out.  We are one of the very few performance shops that you get to actually talk to the person who will do the actual work on your heads.

Sometimes there will be delays with headwork, it all depends on how many others are ahead of you.  The minimum number of head port orders waiting has been 5 over the last 2 years, peaked at 31 during the fall of 2010, and now is still averaging around 20 pairs.  The current goal is to get this back to the 4-6 range, but its a tough goal to meet thanks to all of you who have given us your trust and business.  Yes they are worth the wait is what people are saying on the forums and at the track.

To amuse yourself do a search for head failures people have had with our products.  You will be able to count them on one hand with a few fingers missing, our goal is to keep it that way.  We QC every head many times before it is put into a shipping box.
