Mike's turbo Saleen

Of the first 4 sets of PI heads I ever did one pair ended up on this car and this was the first set to actually run.  Run it did to a 11.17 at 129MPH  with a stock plastic intake, stock PI cams, and single 70mm turbo.  After seeing that I got this crazy idea to start a modular cylinder head porting company.  You can see Mike's custom turbo kits at his website, and his kit was also used on our 600RWHP article.

Ricks 98GT launching at Bradenton

Rick was the first person to ever pony up some cash for a set of ported modular heads from me.  He wanted a nice birthday gift for his brother Bill and I said I would be willing to help out.  I had never done a set of PI heads before but I got some castings from Rick, found out how thin the walls were by cutting up a junk one, and built the first set.  We are still waiting on Bill to install them :-)

Rick is now running a set of our 4V Stage 1 heads with a Eaton blower on his GT, he got the first set of fully worked 4V heads from me and his heads are the ones we used for the pictures on the 4V page.

Barry Burich running at NMRA with his new "ride"

Barry had me rework his 4V heads for his new low 8 second race car.  A little bit of cam, a little bit of boost, a little bit of alcohol, equals a whole lot of fun!  I can't give out too many details on this combo, but I can say the heads used on this engine are not that different from what you see listed on our 4V page.

Glen Burich running NMRA

Its good to have a dad like Barry Burich, as you get to take his old race car down the track when he gets a new one :-)  This non action picture will slide for the moment, but Glen we need a good one!  Glen also has a set of 4V heads like his Dads but is going the "naturally aspirated" route for the moment.

Jeff Staffords 96GT convertible in the NMRA MM class

This was the first set of heads to enter a NMRA event.  Jeff swapped his hogged out modified chamber PI heads to our Stage 2 and immediately dropped 3 tenths in the quarter.  This helped him finally get into the 11's with a stock shortblock automatic convertible, no easy feat naturally aspirated.

Matt Denney's 97GT in the NMRA True Street class

Matt races in the True Street class at NMRA with a set of our Stage 2 heads.  His father Bill Denney also races at the NMRA events with the wild blue Pinto.  Like father like son!

Gerald Becker running at Nashville International Speedway

Gerald was the first to use our 300RWHP combo and dropped his lap times at this track from 1:22 per lap to 1:15 per lap.

Mark's PT Cruiser with a 2V PI motor swap

Mark was one of our first customers and picked up a set of Stage 2 PI heads for his "custom" PT Cruiser.  This is the first transplant into a non Ford vehicle with our parts that I am aware of.  This is a beautiful custom race vehicle as you can see in the other photos below.  BTW - this non action picture is allowed as its a PT Cruiser with a 2V mod motor, I gotta cut it some slack :-)

Alex warming the tires at Orlando Speed World

Of the first four sets of PI heads I ported these are the only other ones apart from Mike's turbo car that have been installed.  The other 2 sets are still wrapped in plastic I was told.

Fred warming the tires

Fred was the first to install our 500RWHP combo and do a back to back test against the stock heads and cams at the same time with no other changes.  No power loss down low and gains of 100RWHP above 5500RPM, I love it when a plan comes together..............

Robbie's 5.4 Lightning powered convertible

Robbie brought 2 blown Lightning motors to me a couple years back and asked me to make a good one.  A shop had built him one and it lasted only a few weeks so cash was tight.  I had to swap around some pistons and rods between them, use the crank from one with the block from the other, and then he got the very first set of Stage 1 PI heads I ever did.  This was the first Lightning motor I built, and so far this is the only engine that has lasted him more than 6 months.

Ed Galanda showing how to launch it

Ed picked up a set of Stage 2 heads for his blower build.  He has been able to get his stock longblock (plus cams) 2V deep into the low 12's, I can't wait to see what he does with some boost.

Ingo in Estonia, Europe

First set of MHS/Bullet cams to make it across the big pond!

Bill Putnam warming the tires

Bill has our 4V ported heads with a monster blower, you can read about it and more on his website/forum www.modularrevolution.com  Though he didn't do it with any of our parts (we were not around yet) as far as I know Bill still holds the record as the fastest NA 2V car on a 100% stock longblock (plus cams) with a high 11 second time.

Ryan's turbo GT

I will let this non action picture slide as with 670RWHP and 720FTLBS on tap at the rear tires it won't be long before we get a picture of this 2V car making its first 10 second pass at Orlando Speed World.

Update - Ryan went 10.98@133MPH in Florida swamp weather!

It looks like mid 10's are possible with this combination as the tires were spinning and the 60ft was horrible even with the 10.98!  Car is still full weight and full interior even.

Jerry's Nitrous GT

Same goes for Jerry, I will let this non action picture slide since after he got his first set of Stage 2 heads he sold them and is waiting on me for a set of Stage 3 heads.  Jerry might have the most amazing nitrous system I have seen yet on a mod motor.

Scott Milan BSing with tech

Scott we need a picture of the big smokey burnout I know this car can do!

Eddie "y2k2gt" warming the tires on his twin turbo GT

Eddie has become a guru with the turbo 2V motors.  He is currently running mid 10's at 133MPH with PI heads, Edelbrock intake, and a C4 transmission.

Brandon's 98GT

Brandon is using our Bullet/MHS NPI cams and his engine is the one used for the photos of the 6061 elbow on our intakes page.  This car has the potential to be the first 11 second NA NPI head motor that still drives on the street.
