Piggyback pulleys are bad, M'kay?
|
Piggyback pulleys are bad, total junk.
Stay away from them and aluminum crank pulleys that have no
elastomer in them (the rubber ring between the inner and outer
halves of the pulley). Below is a picture of what a bad
piggyback pulley will do to your crank and trigger wheel. The
dark marking on the crank tip is from the pulley moving around.
This movement also damaged the trigger wheel as well. This is
something capable of destroying an entire engine, its not worth the
couple extra HP.
