Cam gears and cam testing options

Well after getting a bunch of gears zeroed I
learned that the cams themselves will vary as well, the aftermarket
cams much more so than the stock factory cams. Here is what we
offer for those wanting full 2V cam degree checking done:
$149 to install and measure your cams - price includes return freight to lower 48 states and a set of used cam gears. If you provide your own cam gears subtract $20. If your cams are out further than can be done with our cam gears (typically 2 degrees max) add $50 for a set of TFS adjustable crank gears. With the TFS crank gears we can now correct cam and gear combos up to 8 degrees in either direction. Why do this? Last set of cams I just did one was ground 6 degrees more advanced than it should have been and the valve was into the piston even with a piston notch. Its partner cam was 3 degrees retarded, while this is an extreme case its looking to be pretty common with the aftermarket cams no matter whose name is on the box. We will test and measure any cam set for this price, it doesn't matter if it is a competitors or not.
